Dekula & his band are based in Stockholm. The band plays Soukous music, which is extremely popular above all in East & Central Africa. The band is also strongly influenced by African Rhumba, Salsa, Makossa, Zouk, Reggae, Jazz & Blues. The music is insanely swinging & often starts with Maestro Dekula’s guitar playing, which is then built up with the genre’s typical rhythms & vocals.
